New trend in Europe : a French actress says FBH is erotic !

Hi all. I was looking at a French TV talk-show with Laetitia Casta, an actress but she has been top model for a long time, she is 28 years old. She was there to promote the last movie of Pascal Thomas "Le grand appartement" where she has the major role. They showed the trailer where she sports proudly her hairy armpits, this was expressly asked by the director.

Then, she is interviewed about her armpit hair and she says : FBH is very very erotic and glamorous but unfortunately, women have to be smooth and they look like children, which is not good. She was very happy to explicitly mention FBH in the movie because there was a message, it wasn't just "I show some hair, period".
I suppose you don't know this woman but you can compare her to Claudia Schiffer as she has been the muse of a great cosmetic company and she has always been shaved, so my surprise was great, I couldn't believe what I saw. After more than 10 years in a brainwashed environment, being so lucid is amazing. This is really a "coming-out" and I hope other French actresses will follow her.
As i can't provide urls, I suggest you to search with Google for "Laetitia Casta" and you will find a lot of sites with pictures, she is really cute and natural.
Don't know if it's the beginning of a new trend, I will look for comments on blogs and forums and I will try to summarize for people here.

I was just going to say the same. When I read this, I decided that I had to see Laetitia in her natural hairy galore since I already love her anyway, but couldn't find her hairy photos. If anyone knows links to that...it'd be great Rolling Eyes

Hi all, I don't think there is yet a picture where she shows her hairy pits. The trailer of the film is available and there is a quick view of her pits at the end.
Try on the site allocine.fr and in the field "Rechercher", type "grand appartement" without quotes. Then, click on the link, you get a page with information about the movie. You will see a picture of her with the words "bande-annonce" (trailer) click on it and you will see the trailer.

Hi all, as I've promised, here are some reactions about Laetitia Casta (LC).

To a journalist, asking her if she was unshaven in her private life, she answered that when the mood takes her, she let it grow and that her husband (Italian actor Stefano Accorsi) loves her body hair.

Pascal Thomas (PT), the director said in a newspaper :

<<I didn't want her top model glamorous image. I love natural women. I oblige her to appear without make-up. She has enjoyed it. She even accepted to satisfy one of my fantasies : keeping her armpit hair, the ultimate symbol of submission to fashion for a woman. An image which has outraged fashion magazines, I found it very funny as I was formerly reporter for "Elle" magazine.>>

Another reaction from PT

<<Some fashion magazines were nervous about FBH, protesting against PT, an image wrecker (?). The answer LC gave proves her wisdom said PT : "my armpit hair, I didn't wait for PT to see it growing. As for my image, it's not him who broke it but the fashion photographers, before">>

In another newspaper, LC answered to readers

<<Question : the character you played doesn't shave her pits and claims it. For somebody as you, who has been on the most famous catwalks, is this a way to go against your image ?
Answer : it's more complicated. It's not only a question of armpit hair. It's my way to be a free woman who doesn't worry about the representation that society imposes to her and this is also valid for men. PT explains it very clearly in the movie. The woman has to be smooth, she must be close to a child. What I said may appear as extreme but it's true. I don't let my FBH grow just to be like a gorilla, there is a message but no desire to be provocative>>

In the movie, there is a scene where her sister said to her : "we are going to the beach, you have to shave your pits". LC said : "no way, I don't want to be smoot as a child, I wan't to be a woman. Pedophiles are attracted by smooth bodies and this is not good". She even gives a name to each tuft : Croquette and Cracotte ! Wow, I've never had such an idea Very Happy

In the real life, LC has joined an anti-pedophilic association to fight against pedophilia on the Internet.

Actually, almost all comments from journalists turn around her glamorous image she broke. Because for them, it's unbelievable for a woman to be glamorous with body hair. But I haven't read or heard negative comments about her FBH as Julia Roberts had to take, it's more astonishment than mockery.
I didn't see the movie as I live in Belgium and the movie is not yet in the cinemas.
